    Vita & Virginia

A film like this would have been important and enough if it had come out more than twenty years ago but it is far from cutting edge and storyline looks more like something one would expect on Masterpiece theatre. The film never rises to the level of real warmth and heartache as soon in such films like Blue is the Warmest Color. The actresses play their parts well and the sets are beautiful but Vita and Virginia come off as too immature for women of their age which is a bit odd as they hardly come across as young women in the early part of the last century. If properly cast with much younger women there might have been more feeling and light to the film but one is not left with much at the end of the film. I think I will hardly remember this film in a year or so.
